How Dates Are Stored in the Bloo Database

All dates in the Bloo database are stored in Greenwich Mean Time. This was an early design decision that has paid off pretty well. While this method of storing dates can complicate some back-end database queries, storing dates in a well-established timezone has it's benefits for consistency and ease of use. For instance, because of this design decision, it is very easy to display posts in Bloo in any timezone.
