“He has delivered us . . . “

And so, from the day we heard, we have not ceased to pray for you,

asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will

in all spiritual wisdom and understanding,

so as to walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to him,

bearing fruit in every good work

and increasing in the knowledge of God.

May you be strengthened with all power,

according to his glorious might,

for all endurance and patience with joy,

giving thanks to the Father,

who has qualified you to share

in the inheritance of the saints in light.

He has delivered us from the domain of darkness

and transferred us to the kingdom of his beloved Son,

in whom we have redemption,

the forgiveness

of

sins.

– Colossians 1:9-14 (ESV)

Lord – Your love is amazing!

  1. From the domain of darkness to the kingdom of light – infinite grace and love indeed. It’s a joy to walk a lighted path. Sometimes He seems so near, so close, it’s like a wondrous glow. Yet I know that this is but an earnest, merely the dawn at the edge of the day. We can’t even imagine the brightness of His glory that awaits us. I’m tempted to believe that, at the moment between here and there, as we cross into eternity, an angel will meet us and, holding out a nice pair of oakley sunglasses, will say “Here, put these on. You’re gonna need ’em for awhile.” And the day will break forth in shining glory. I’m hoping so. I look cool in shades.
