Today we got our ride, a 2000 Honda Odyssey, past 200,000 miles.
Here’s to, hopefully, at least 50,000 more. She’s been a good car.

I was in a parking lot in San Antonio when our van hit 200,000 miles last year. It’s been a good van. If you take care of a vehicle, it’ll run a long time.
When I bought the van years ago I always thought it’d be cool to get to 200K. Now that I’m there I, like you, am hoping for 250.
Cool – what kind of van do you have Bird?
1996 Plymouth Grand Voyager. It’s still in good condition despite a minor dent on the passenger side (long story). We’ll likely replace it this year, or next year at the latest. It’s been a good van, but when we buy something again I’ll probably be looking for a Japanese model. Still, I wouldn’t be opposed to another Grand Voyager or a Grand Caravan (they’re the same vehicle).
We had a grand caravan for quite awhile – got it to about 170K or so. I remember my mechanic saying “the only thing holding that car together is God” 🙂
We ended up giving it away. But it was a good car. I think we’re going to go with foreign-made for the foreseeable future. We got Molly a used Rav4 for college and I’m hopeful it will go to 200K+ as well (it has 47K right now).
I feel like the domestic car companies have lost their way, and my confidence is even lower now that many of them are owned by the government.

Agreed. My car is a ’96 Camry. It’s got 150K and it runs like a top. It’s nice not having a car payment.
